Electronic Circuits
Electronics circuits are the circuits in which electronics components are widely used to achieve the required task. These are designed by well known manufacturers at high production rate as well as by undergraduate engineers for their projects. Electronic circuits include discrete components like resistors, capacitors, inductors as well as different types of IC’s (Integrated Circuits). The number of components depends upon the requirement of the circuit.
Electronic circuit’s power source can be AC (Altering Current) or DC (Direct Current). Without any external power source these circuits cannot run. In our homes (for yours ask you electricity provider or the electrician) the electricity provided by the electricity company have the voltages ~220 volts with the frequency 50-60Hz.
If any of the electronic circuit runs using DC power then the AC power source (~220) in the home switch board should be converted into DC first. Suppose if the circuit needs DC power of +24 V dc then we first use the step down transformer to step down the 220volt AC into 25 volt AC,. Then we rectify it using a rectifier. Bridge rectifier is a good choice while rectifying AC volts into DC volt. Then use capacitors for filtering the rectified voltage so that we can get a pure DC +24 volts at output.
The diagram of conversion of 220 AC volts into +24 DC volts will be uploaded soon.
Best of Luck.
